Will A Dimmable Led Bulb Work In A 3 Way Lamp

If you would like to be able to control the brightness of a led bulb you will need one that is dimmable.

Will a dimmable led bulb work in a 3 way lamp. I ve tried it with two different bulbs from osram sylvania that claim they are dimmable. I d like to use a dimmable led in a touch dimmer lamp because when filament bulbs blow they often break the touch dimmer.
